A lot is written about India from a sweeping, national perspective. There is, undoubtedly, value to this material. But relatively little is written about India from a local perspective. When viewed from that angle, many interesting things come to light that both complement and contradict the bigger perspective. This blog reviews locally focused writings on India, both new and old.
